Love to Read? Here are My Top 10 Nonfiction Book Recommendations

Book Post

“You are the same today as you will be in five years except for two things, the people you meet and the books you read.” ~Charlie Jones

If you want to change your life and expand beyond where you currently are you need to read more books. (I said what I said…)

Reading is a habit my Dad instilled in me from a young age. He always used to say “If you want to hide something from people put it in a book, because most people won’t read.”

Thanks Daddy ❤

I would probably spend my life savings on books if I had a life savings haha. For those of you guys who desire to read more, but finances are an issue there is a wonderful free resource called Overdrive. Its an app.

You can checkout audiobooks and ebooks from your local library as long as you have a library card.

Here is what the app looks like in the App Store

Sometimes people comment on how smart I am, like they think I’m just naturally smart. That couldn’t be further from the truth. The truth is I have read a LOT of books over the years. Personal growth books. Psychology books. Business books. Books books books.

This is one of the things I credit the most with my success. Make this a habit NOW.

I encourage you to set a book goal each year. My goal annually is 12 new books a year. And yes they do count if you listen to them on audio.

Here are my Top 10 Nonfiction Book Recommendations:

  1. The Principle of the Path by Andy Stanley
  2. Crush It by Gary Vaynerchuck
  3. Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World by Michael Hyatt
  4. You are a Badass by Jenn Sincero
  5. The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
  6. Strength Finders 2.0 by Tom Rath
  7. Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins
  8. The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor
  9. The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg
  10. Better than Before by Gretchen Rubin

I have at least fifty I could recommend but we will stop there.

While I do read a lot of business, marketing, and personal growth books, I do enjoy reading fiction in the evenings to help me relax. I will save my top 10 fiction books for another post.
